Ocean Challenge Yacht Club is rooted deep in the rich and long tradition of the Polish offshore and ocean sailing. It is our intention to cultivate and cherish the code, spirit, and values conveyed under the Polish flag.
As a member of the elite association of the Ocean Challenge Yacht Club you will experience first-hand the meaning of community, courage and - most importantly - the spirit of mutual respect. We strive to build a unique society that would combine top-class qualities and traditions with continuous self-development and relentless sporting competition.
Our concept is driven and strongly supported by the Honorary Senior Board and Club Ambassadors - people of the sea, distinguished for Polish and international sailing. We are honoured and privileged to be able to draw on their knowledge, and we feel proud to have become the trustees of the values they have been carrying across the seas and oceans of the World.
Sailing is an old and respectable art. This centuries-old maritime tradition gave rise to a clearly-defined pattern of behaviour, the social code and the unique etiquette. It is the ambition of the Ocean Challenge Yacht Club to cherish and promote the traditions and experiences which have been developed and accumulated over generations, and which have grown to form the sailing code of conduct and values, as we know it today.
The key role in the Club's mission is to continue to build a bridge between the great traditions of Polish sailing and the modern yachting. It is worth remembering how many milestones in the history of sailing, globally, were placed by our countrymen. Their successes are often continued by the new generation of men and women of the sea. To serve this purpose, and to support, the Ocean Challenge Yacht Club has a deep commitment to yachting and organises a full programme of racing and social activities throughout the year.
